Do you sometimes get decision fatigue when trying to figure out the best places to go on your next trip? We definitely do, so we try and take notes on every stop we love. We thought it was time to share our favs in the hopes that our lists can help people avoid the crippling Google search that yields a thousand options to choose from.
We travel for the obvious reasons – the nature, the food, the coffee, the local shops… but we’re especially interested in the little things that make a place memorable. The coffee shop we accidentally found and went back to three times. The hike that was absolutely worth the steep climb. The neighborhood we almost skipped. The restaurant with the cocktail we still talk about six months later.
Somewhere along the way, our travel notes became increasingly extensive (maybe too detailed?), our Google Maps increasingly covered in saved pins, and our friends increasingly likely to ask us where they should go.
So we made this.
The Sojourn Guide, a nod to our love for long-term stays, is our collection of the places we’ve been, the things we’ve loved, and the advice we’d give a friend planning the same trip.
No pressure to check every box. No need to follow the itinerary exactly. Just ideas for finding somewhere you’ll be glad you went. We hope that you also stumble upon your own unique finds along the way (& if you want to share them with us, we would love that!).
We’re so glad you’re here.
